Father’s Day Idea: Design Your Own Tie

Fit to Be Tied

Ties are the "flowers" equivalent for men. Sure, they are safe...but safe can be so very boring.

Mom may be able to pick out a stylish accessory, but most Dads already have plenty of neckties. If the young kids make the selection, you may get something truly unusual...which will also describe how often Dad actually makes use of his gift.

SuperMaggie Custom TieIf you are opting for a tie, why not create something truly unique and special: scan in your children's artwork and design your own custom tie at Zazzle.

Here's a tip: Most designs will look best if you repeat the same element over and over, like this very cool creation by Josie, age 9. Visit her Zazzle Shop: Super Maggie.

Or, if ties aren't Dad's style, Zazzle has plenty of other cool items, you can get $5 off $25+ orders of custom keychains or you could always design custom trucker hats!

Good idea. I like both Zazzle and CafePress, but have not been to either site in a long time. Thanks for the reminder!

Thanks for visiting! I had the same experience…last time I was on there, they had t-shirts, mugs, and mousepads…a lot has changed!

You know, we ordered a necktie from Zazzle and were very unsatisfied. The tie came back looking cheap (even though it cost 30 bucks), and the red color shown on our computer screen ended up being a very vibrant traffic cone orange in person. The back of the tie was white, as in blank. If you’re okay with this, go for it, but I’d be careful that you know what to expect…
