Getting into shape after baby can be tough. It’s hard to motivate yourself to go to the gym when you have to find (and pay) a babysitter. But I’ve found a fun way to integrate exercise into my daily routine so I can lose the baby weight and feel like a hot mama.
Every morning, Baby Mwah and I head to the local park where I run the trail while he enjoys a fun ride in his stroller. (Ok…I have to confess that it’s more of a brisk walk/jog than a run. But we all have to start somewhere.)
Since I have playdates to attend and errands to run after my morning exercise, I need functional and polished workout wear. My favorite exercise outfit at the moment is the Footloose Running Dress from Skirt Sports.
This dress was designed with performance in mind for serious athletes. The SkirtSports.com Blog has a testimonial from Kelly B, who ran a marathon in her pink Footloose Running Dress– leaving the boys in the dust while also getting loads of complements on her dress. But don’t be intimidated by all the professional athletes who love this dress since it’s also a great find for busy moms who are looking for a way to fit exercise into their hectic lives.
The Footloose Dress has a built-in shelf bra that supports A through small C cups and an all-mesh panel raceback for comfort and moisture management. The matching Underskirt Shorties, which provide coverage underneath the dress, have a comfortable wide waistband, interior wicking liner to keep you dry, and two pockets that can hold an iPod and other essentials.
You’ll feel hot in this dress since the sexy v-neck and empire waist flatter a woman’s curves. Best of all, you can run errands or meet friends after your workout without feeling frumpy. I’ve even used my Footloose Running Dress as a swim coverup since it packs easily and doesn’t wrinkle.
The Footloose Running Dress is available in five colors. I own it in black. Kelly B (pictured here at the start of a marathon) owns it in pink.
