We’re giving away two copies of the new Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! A Tale of Tails
If you don’t have a pre-schooler, you might not have heard of Wubbzy from the hit Nick Jr. TV Show “Wow! Wow! Wubzzy!.”
On the other hand, I can’t get his theme song out of my head:
Wubbzy lives in a tree. He likes to play! Play! Play!
He’s got a bendy tail and he likes it that way!
Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Wubbzy! Wubbzy! Wow! Wow!
I’ve been serenading Baby Mwah with that catchy song at mealtimes, and it always gets a laugh.
There’s something so appealing about Wubbzy, who has a funny long tail that he can bend into any shape. Each of the 8 episodes on this DVD combines a positive lesson for children with a compelling (for pre-schoolers) storyline.
My favorite episode is “A Tale of Tails” because it teaches children to accept themselves. Kids won’t play with Wubbzy because of his strange curvy tail. So his friend tries to invent a device to straighten Wubbzy’s tail. But Wubbzy’s tail ultimately saves the day, and he learns to accept himself and the other kids learn to value his differences. Watching “A Tale of Tails” gave me the same warm fuzzy feeling I used to have when I watched “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”- which I still think is one of the best TV specials of all time. Acceptance (of yourself and of others who are different) is one of the most important things for kids to learn.
