My infant and preschooler tried out a few of their new imaginative playthings: EarthWorm Grasping Toy, Rolling Snail Shape Sorter Pull Toy, and Backyard Buddy Puzzle Blocks.
Everyone in the family, including the target baby audience, is impressed with the design of the Rolling Snail Shape Sorter Pull Toy. Really several classic toys in one, this pull toy, shape sorter, and rolling toy, encourages babies gross and fine motor skills. Babies will have lots of fun learning their shapes by sorting them into the correct holes in the tumbler. Twist the backing of the tumbler and spill the blocks out to start again. You can also pull the toy in front of a crawling baby and he’ll follow along. Roll the wooden tumbler back and forth to the acompaniment of a clackety-clackety sound. Toddlers can pull the toy behind them as they walk and watch the back of the snail spin and listen to the blocks tumbling around.
My infant son enjoys taking the toy apart and trying to sort the blocks and my preschool daughter loves to pull the toy for him. The adults in the family appreciate the all-wood and non-toxic paint construction and the many different imaginative opportunities for play.
My son is also so fond of his EarthWorm Grasping Toy that we bring it along everywhere. It fits easily in my purse and keeps him content and occupied. Judging from his attachment to the toy, it is a blast for babies to manipulate the segments and chew on the EarthWorm. Even I have fun twisting and turning the EarthWorm.
The preschooler flexes her problem solving and spacial skills with the Backyard Buddy Puzzle Blocks. Four blocks is the perfect number for ages 2-4 and the paintings are simple and sweet. Young toddlers will have fun naming the animals. Older toddlers will be able to use the color cues to find the correct sides of the blocks for each animal. And preschoolers will find assembling each animal to be a fun challenge.
ImagiPlay makes classic playthings that are eco-conscious, kid-safe, and community-friendly in the best tradition of toymaking.
