This mini bear is made of the finest mohair and is meant to be displayed on your handbag. Each of these bears is decorated on the ears, soles and paws with hundreds of small Swarovski crystals that that sparkle and shine in the most magnificent colors. This product was limited to just 3,000 pieces per color worldwide, and two of the three colors have already sold out in the United States!
Even if you don’t recognize the name “Steiff,” you are probably familiar with their famous Button-in-the-Ear trademark. Steiff bears and stuffed animals are extremely popular with collectors, and you might have seen them on TV shows like Antiques Roadshow where original Steiff bears are sold for hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
Steiff is still making gorgeous toys as well as collectible stuffed animals. All Steiff products are still made in their century-old manufacturing facility in Giengen an der Brenz, Germany and are finished by hand! This is in keeping with the Steiff founder’s motto: “Only the best is good enough for our children.”
I spent some time at the Steiff booth at Toy Fair in 2010, and I had the chance to see some of their best-selling products in person. Some of my favorites from Toy Fair are the 2010 Christmas Bear and the beautiful stocking rocking animals. Steiff sent me a lamb music box in 2009 which my son adored. In fact, it is now one of my go-to baby gifts! When I’m looking for gifts, I often turn to Steiff. For example, their plush dinosaurs are a hit with 6-8 year old boys, and their $14.50 plush keychains are a great stocking stuffer.
