My son considers all of the CARS characters his personal friends: Lightning McQueen, Finn McMissle, Mater, and many more (all of which he can name). The original Disney CARS iPad app is one of my son’s favorites. Seeing them come alive on a medium beyond the film is exciting and stimulating for him. iPad apps even can encourage preschoolers to read, which is another reason I love ebooks.
When we were told that there was a CARS 2 iPad available for download, we couldn’t wait to purchase it since the film was a dynamo hit in our house. (We’ve seen CARS 2 three times already!) I have to say, this app didn’t disappoint–all of our expectations for it were exceeded.
My son is able to play fun games like like Toyko Lights (a memory game), and the challenging Mater’s Tire Toss. He can record his voice reading the special CARS 2 story–which provides endless giggles– and there are 10 pages of pictures for coloring and jigsaw puzzles to solve. It truly keeps him busy for hours, and we think it’s a fun way to play together when mommy needs a break from chasing him around outside in the summer heat!
If your kids love the CARS franchise as much as mine does (and I know they do!), you must get them this app. Vroom vroom!
