A few months before my husband deployed to Iraq, we decided we were ready to start a family.
There is never a perfect time, especially for a military family. There is only now.
The day before my husband deployed, I took three, count ’em, three, of the “super-duper early we can tell if you are even thinking about it” pregnancy tests and got a big fat negative.
But just days after he left, there it was: “Pregnant”, in big, bold letters.
I was about to attach a digital photo of the test when the phone rang…
