After learning about this amazing holiday initiative by restaurant.com I began to think about my holiday gift list and all the special people on it. Each person on that list has played a part in my life in one way or another over the past year. Though everyone on the list is important to me there is one person in particular who stands out in my mind.
My Kids Care Club adopted a little boy through the Kimberly Hope Program through Battle 4 a Cure. This child has gone through so much in his four years of life. He is battling Glioblastoma, a very aggressive brain tumor. As a group we purchased several gifts for him and his brother. As a token of appreciation I sent Battle 4 a Cure a $10 ecard for restaurant.com. Without them I never would have had this amazing opportunity to play such an important part in someone’s life.
While I may never hear how this boy liked his gifts and never see his face when opening the huge box of gifts I am overwhelmed by joy.
