Peppa Pig Hug N Oink Talking Plush
I wrote before about how much my boys love Peppa Pig on NIck Jr. Peppa Pig is a lovable, cheeky little pig from the UK, and the charming cartoon follows her family life and daily activities. Peppa arrived in the US last year, quickly becoming a hit with US audiences. And now her toys have arrived at Toys R Us!
If you’re not familiar with Peppa, I encourage you to watch an episode of her show.The message of the cartoon is sweet and simple. The show celebrates the values of family, friendship, fun – and humor! The story is easy-to-understand: Peppa goes to school, plays with her brother George and loves to jump in muddy puddles! These cartoons are visually entertaining enough for my toddler yet funny enough for my preschooler.
My family and I were recently sent an assortment of Peppa Pig items, including Fisher Price Peppa Pig Play Sets, a Peppa Pig Hug N Oink Talking Plush doll, a Peppa Pig DVD with 10 “Peppasodes,” and the new Peppa book: Peppa Pig and the Lost Christmas List.
While the Fisher Price Peek N Surprise Playhouse Playset is absolute hit with the preschool-age girls who come to play with my son, my 18 month-old toddler has fallen in love with the Peppa Pig Hug N Oink Talking Plush. He imitates the “oink,” and he often brings Peppa with him for naptime. At $19.99, I predict the Peppa Pig Talking Plush will be a big seller this holiday season.
It’s not Christmas time quite yet, but Peppa Pig and the Lost Christmas List definitely ignited my holiday spirit! It’s a warm and fuzzy read, and I can’t wait to share it with my boys in a couple of months (I don’t want to give them any ideas about Christmas Lists yet…) While my toddler is obsessed with the plush, my favorite part of the package was the DVD! Peppa Pig is BAFTA Award-winning for a reason, it is very well written, and kids really do love it.
