I was lucky enough to be invited to The Big Toy Book Baby Palooza in NYC, hosted by The Big Toy Book, Charlene Chronicles, and Real Mom Media. My good friend Joey Fortman of Real Mom Media promised that I would not be disappointed, and wow was she right!
I found a ton of great gifts for my boys, upcoming children’s birthday parties we have to attend and even some very early Christmas present purchases (hey, why not get started early, less to worry about when the holidays hit!)!
Delta Children’s line of Upholstered Chairs– When I saw that Delta had made a Disney’s Cars chair with Lightning Mcqueen on it, I knew my son would flip for it! This sturdy, upholstered chair is the perfect place for my son to relax watching his favorite cartoons (or Disney’s Cars movies). Delta also makes a Cars Desk and Chair, Work Table, Table and Ottomans, and a Track Table with Ottoman. They also offer the upholstered chairs in these varieties: Giggling Elmo, Disney Fairies, Disney Princesses and Minnie Mouse. But the obsession for Disney Cars doesn’t stop there; they have a whole Disney Cars collection comprised of two different bed styles, drawers, chest and a nightstand. Good thing I didn’t have my son with me or he would have wanted the entire collection!
VTech InnoTab 2S- This was probably the single toy that most Moms went gaga for at Baby Palooza. Designed specifically for pre-school age children (3-9 years), this Wi-Fi Learning App tablet keeps kids engaged while they learn. The multi-functional VTech InnoTab 2S combines a photo/video camera, interactive animated e-books, tilt sensor learning games and a rich collection of applications into a sleek and durable toy. Kids can enjoy e-books, music, photos, and videos on-the-go just like mom and dad! The 5” touch screen, tilt sensor, microphone, pop-up (onscreen) keypad, and stylus allow children to play games, create art, take notes, or use utilities like the onboard calendar or friends list all on one device. Cartridges with licensed characters (sold separately) teach essential skills in reading, logic, and creativity. Additional apps such as games, e-books and music can be easily uploaded to the InnoTab 2 through VTech’s Learning Lodge Navigator. Parents can also track their child’s progress on a variety of educational milestones and lessons. This is a perfect toy for both of my boys (who are always on the family iPad) but I will have to get two so they won’t argue over whose turn it is!
