Saturdays are my time to unwind but this last weekend I shook off the sweats and dressed up to join the ever classy Colleen and Whitney at their Social Media Mom Mixer Holiday Showcase 2013.
The event was held at the XIX restaurant atop the Hyatt at the Bellevue in Philadelphia which is one of my very favorite places in Philadelphia and an even better reason to drive into Philly. I couldn’t stay too long (with kid activities waiting for me at home) but I stayed long enough to enjoy snacks provided by CVS Pharmacy and check out the Doc McStuffins display by Just Play Toys and receive a very cute and clever Furby Boom by HASBRO which interacts with its very own app.
Tommee Tippee had back-to-nature bottles I wish I would have had when my kids were little (which wasn’t that long ago) and a diaper container for little ones. With a fun twist on eliminating smells and encouraging good ones, a perfume specialist at their table helped us make up our own little bit of sweet smells.
Participants also received the new Vaseline® Spray & Go Moisturizer and Lip Therapy Rosy Lips to take home which I am totally keeping to myself; but, I will share the nice package coming my way from Robitussin® and the Advil for kids items I received there — products and brands always welcome in our house.
As a mom of two small boys, I loved the mix of products at the event – toys, health, and of course, products for me! Colleen and Whitney always do such a fabulous job for all the mom bloggers and make it worth every minute. And, of course, seeing my fellow bloggers and friends (which can be rare since I have been so busy), well, that’s just priceless!
