Most Americans know this phrase and could undoubtedly identify it as Smokey Bear’s classic mantra.
Did you know that 9 out of 10 forest fires are started by humans? And that, thanks to Smokey and his familiar phrase, we have reduced the number of acres lost to wildfires from 22 millions to today’s yearly average of 6.5 million?
Smokey is an important figure in our society. And this year he is turning 70! Can you believe it? He doesn’t look at day over 20 :) Will you help us celebrate him? First, sign Smokey’s birthday card!
