As a mother to five boys, I know more about the gaming community than I ever wanted to know. It seems every time I turn around I’m being asked for a new game, or money for V-Bucks. With plenty of PlayStations in our home, I truthfully wasn’t overly excited when my husband said he’d like to get a Nintendo Switch for our family. However, I trusted his judgment and it has actually turned out to be the center of fun, family game nights.
With all the old school classic games, such as Zelda, Smash Bros. and Mario Kart, I really wasn’t expecting Nintendo to embark on such a new, progressive game. Starlink: Battle for Atlas is a newer open-world game space saga that is unlike any game that I’ve ever played.
The Starlink Starter Pack, featuring Star Fox, comes with an Arwing starship, Controller mounts, digital shredder weapons, flamethrower weapons, and more. That can sound like a foreign language if you’re a mom like me. I’ll happily break it down in simple terms.
With this game you are given a modular toy starship that allows you to assemble and customer to your game controller. As you make changes to the physical starship, you will see the exact changes you just made, immediately reflected on the game screen. As you alter your physical starship, you directly affect the course of your battle. How cool is that?
If you enjoy open-world gaming, you’ll love this one. The plastic toys are detailed, good quality and all the items are easy to swap. This is a great game for all ages.
For it’s current sale price of $39.99 at Best Buy http://bby.me/6x5ft this is an affordable and awesome game. It can be played in single player mode, or with a friend in two-player split-screen, local co-op. My only experience with it is on the Nintendo Switch, but is is also made for Xbox or PlayStation game consoles as well. This would make a great Christmas gift for the young gamer in your home.
Save $25 on Starter Packs. Plus, save 30% on Starlink toys. Happy playing!
