With new cosmetics, skin care, fragrance and hair products coming on to the market in a steady stream, promising to fulfill all of your beauty wishes, it’s quite challenging to practice restraint every time you walk into Sephora or Ulta.
Stress not my lovelies! Birchbox is here to guide you on your mission to find your perfect summer fragrance, texturizing beach spray, tinted moisturizer and juicy lip glosses and stains (and pretty much anything else you could EVER want).
I am ashamed to admit that I have never tried Birchox, but now I am a full-on convert. I was sent a really nice package for Mother’s Day and I have to rave about it. I received the Baby Buggy ® on the Go Pouch which can double as a makeup bag, a kid kit where you can keep snacks and clean up items or use it for travel. In an adorable print. Love. Tocca Eau de Parfum Rollerball in Giulietta– A floral and woodsy scent, this fragrance embodies romance and makes me think of a romantic Italian evening! I will definitely be purchasing the full size bottle of this scent (which you can conveniently do on Birchbox’s website).
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanse Starter Kit sample – I don’t change my skin care up too often because whenever I do, I literally turn into a hot mess of breakouts and irritation. I did make an exception in this case sheerly out of curiosity and I am glad I did. It’s a very gentle cleanser and the cloth truly does remove all makeup, dirt and oil. Even waterproof mascara, which, as we all know, is such a JOY to remove. My skin hasn’t broken out and actually seems much more even toned and well, happy. I think I am a convert.
Make Satin Finish Powder Blush in Geisha– I really loved the color payoff from this blush; I was really impressed. The color was a pinkish peach and could be flattering on many complexions. True to its word, it has a satin finish and really provides that finishing glow to your look. A definite keeper!
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray – Ok so I didn’t receive this item in the package, I ordered it from Birchbox because I have been dying to try it for what seems like an eternity now. And let me tell you, it was well worth it. After seeing it touted as THE styling product in every major magazine for that beachy, tousled look we’re all craving this time of year, I bit the bullet and ordered it. Not a cheap buy but it really does give you that tousled “I just spent the day at the beach because I am that glam” look. A couple of sprays on wet hair, I scrunch and dry with a diffuser a bit and I am good to go.
Thus concludes my ode to Birchbox. I really enjoyed my package and am looking forward to ordering more from them!
