Girlie little princesses who want a playspace of their own will adore the Playskool Dream Town Sweet Lily Castle.
We’re loving this well-designed play house (ahem, castle) from the Playskool Dream Town Collection.
Although I always prefered GI Joe to Barbie and black to pink, my preschooler is drawn to pretty shoes and dresses in the cotton candy colored shade. And from the little one’s perspective, this is just about as princess as you get.
The Sweet Lily Castle is well-designed. With a large (measures 46″L x 52″W x 66″H), solid frame, the playhouse will last through years of play. And, although it does not fold back up, you can nest the two halves of the castle and use the space for storing bins of toys. When I first opened the box, I was a little overwhelmed with the number of parts but with a quick look at the directions, I realized the assembly is fairly simple. The fabric is printed inside and out, so the castle looks sweet from both vantage points.
While I appreciate that it is easy to assemble, made of quality materials, and sturdy, my daughter loves the more ephemeral and magical qualities of the castle. With doors to open, windows from which to peer, and lots of room inside, there’s plenty for a child to explore and imagine. Add the accessories (including a tiara, wand, dress, and frog prince) and you’ll find a playhouse fit for a queen, or a tiny princess.
