Did you know that dentists recommend brushing your teeth for two minutes twice a day? Getting my four year old to brush his teeth is easy enough, but getting him to brush for two minutes is a challenge.
Thankfully, he’s been cavity free at his dental checkups, but several of his friends have had cavities — and bad experiences at the dentist. I’d like to spare him that trauma, so I worry that he’s not thoroughly brushing his teeth.
Arm & Hammer challenged us to switch out our manual toothbrush for theArm & Hammer Spinbrush ProClean, which is “clinically proven to remove up to 70% more plaque in hard to reach places versus a manual toothbrush.” The Spinbrush features “dual action” technology– a combination of spinning and back and forth brushing heads. I’ve read that children brush longer when using a battery-powered spinbrush than a manual toothbrush. All of this sounds great, but the ultimate test will be whether or not my preschooler likes the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush.
Arm & Hammer sent us a free Spinbrush to test along with Arm & Hammer Advanced White Toothpaste with Stain Defense. I downloaded a coupon online to get $2 off a Spinbrush, and I bought a Spinbrush for Kids for my son. We’ll both be testing our new Spinbrushes, and I’ll report back here with the results of our experiments.
