Between visits to the dentist, it’s important to keep your child (and yourself!) in a good routine of dental hygiene. Instilling good dental hygiene habits at a young age is the one of best and most effective ways to teach kids about the importance of healthy teeth and gums.
When Arm & Hammer asked me to participate in their Spin Brush Challenge, I decided that the biggest dental challenge in my household was getting my four-year-old son to brush for as long as he needs to (2 minutes!) Not only does my son brush for the full two minutes, but he’s excited to do it. He loves the design of his Spin Brush, to push the button, and to feel the buzzing in his mouth! Since he loves books about robots, I told him it’s like a special robot to clean his teeth.
Using my own Spin Brush, I can tell that I’m getting a better clean than I was with my manual toothbrush. The brush is not only comfortable to hold, but it’s able to reach all the nooks and crannies of my mouth and has the power to remove all of my plaque thoroughly.
Since I received a free sample of Arm & Hammer Advance White Extreme Whitening with Stain Defense Toothpaste, I tried this new toothpaste with the Spin Brush. I’ll confess that I was expecting the toothpaste to taste really bad because I once tried another brand of toothpaste that included baking soda and peroxide. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste, and I think my teeth are looking a bit brighter since I switched to Arm & Hammer.
Ultimately, I’m pleased with our experiment. I switched to the Spin Brush to motivate my son to brush longer. Since I had to set a good example, I actually brushed for two minutes too and have seen an improvement in my smile.
