Stopping by a Rita’s on a warm summer day is a no-brainer but you can extend the delicious experience by leaving your mark on cancer research for only $1. It’s a small donation with a big impact.
Once again, Rita’s Water Ice is selling paper lemons for $1 to raise money for pediatric cancer research through their support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). Over the last seven years, Rita’s helped raise over 3.5 million dollars for ALSF as a corporate sponsor and they are continuing their worthwhile efforts with a multi-element campaign this year, both online and in stores.
THIS YEAR: From June 5 – June 18, over 625 Rita’s locations will ask guests to donate $1 for a paper lemon to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and the fight against childhood cancer. Guests also have the option to Text-To-Donate a one-time $5 donation.
PINTEREST: Rita’s & ALSF will also host a Pin It to Win It contest. The top prize will be for free Rita’s Ice for a year and ALSF gear.
Another new initiative at Rita’s is Rita’s Fund of Hope that will ensure the travel needs of families whose children are battling cancer. Their goal is to raise $1 million over the next 2 years, says Jonathan Fornaci, President, Rita’s Italian Ice.
Enjoy a delicious treat AND make a difference this summer!
