Before baby, my husband and I traveled frequently. I was clocking over 100,000 airline miles a year in my job at an internet travel company, and I definitely used my industry discount to the fullest. On a travel industry tour, I got to visit all 7 Sandals Resorts in Jamaica. It was one of my favorite trips.
Sandals Resorts has been voted the World’s #1 All-Inclusive Honeymoon Destination by the readers of Bride’s Magazine and the World’s Leading All-Inclusive Honeymoon Destination by Modern Bride. These couples-only resorts are set on some of the most beautiful and romantic beaches in the world. In addition to your food and beverages, land and water sports (golfing, sailing, and more) are included.
At the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios, my husband and I stayed in a one-bedroom villa complete with its own plunge pool. It was heaven on earth. I’d love to go again, but Sandals Resorts are couples only. This adds to the romance since you aren’t subjected to the mood killer that is a toddler’s temper tantrum. But the thought of leaving baby at home while I go off on a romantic getaway with my husband gives me a panic attack. I don’t think I’ll be ready to take a vacation sans baby for many years to come although I’d love to go to Sandals to renew our wedding vows someday.
In the meantime, I’m considering a trip to Beaches Resorts, which I’d also toured on my industry trip a few years ago. Beaches Resorts were created to give families the same level of luxury and all-inclusive amenities they’ve come to expect from Sandals but with one very big additional perk– free supervised activities for kids and even babies!
While your precious darlings are entertained by the caring staff at Beaches, you and your husband can take the time to remember why you fell in love in the first place. For baby’s first vacation, I would feel comfortable leaving baby for a few hours with one of the Certified Nannies and child development specialists that have been trained and certified in accordance with an accredited U.S. university who staff the nursery at Beaches. During that time, I could enjoy a romantic meal with my husband at one of the gourmet restaurants or a drink at one of the swim-up bars.
If you have a toddler, elementary school age child or even a tween or teen, you’ll find activities to suit them at Beaches. One popular program is The Beaches Resorts Caribbean Adventure with Sesame Street®. This includes story time with Elmo, baking with Cookie Monster, dancing with Zoe, exploring with Grover, making music with Bert & Ernie, Sesame Street stage shows and more. Older kids will enjoy the Crayola Art Camps and the Xbox 360® Game Garage. When you’re ready to pick up your little one, you can enjoy an afternoon on the beach, float in the lazy river or splash around in the pool and waterpark.
There are lots of reasons to pick an all-inclusive resort. The biggest one is that all-inclusive resorts are Hassle-Free. You can leave your wallet at home since all meals, beverages, entertainment, activities and even tips are covered. And since everything’s included, you can set your budget before your vacation and stick to it without feeling deprived. You’ll feel more inclined to play and try new things when you’re not paying an hourly rental or class fee. In fact, your all-inclusive resort vacation is the perfect opportunity to learn to sail, kayak or more.
If you’d like to try Beaches, take advantage of the WonderFALL Celebration at Beaches Resorts during the off-peak months of September and October. You’ll SAVE up to 45% off published rates and get 2 Nights Free (on stays of 7 nights or more).
