I am always on the lookout for new bedtime stories and when I was sent Even Monsters to review, I knew I had a winner that would be read and re-read again and again.
Author and illustrator AJ Smith’s family-friendly picture book, Even Monsters, is perfect for the little ones in your life. The book follows a day in the life of monsters Glubb and Skeebu; all of the daily adventures monsters have that us humans had no idea all we had in common with them? Cute, right? The illustrations are fantastic, really bright and colorful, and the humor in the book is not lost on adults!
I find this book to be especially good for kids who give their parents a hard time getting up for school, getting ready in the morning, play with their food, and getting cleaned up at night. Maybe if they see that monsters do it too, they will follow suit. Or that’s just my wishful thinking as a parent.
Right now, kids can submit their drawings to the Monster Art Contest for the chance to have their art animated into their own music video! The best 100 drawings will appear in a special Even Monsters art gallery, and the top 20 drawings will be animated into their own music video! Enter here: http://www.evenmonsters.com/artcontest.html
