The second I walked in to drop my son off at preschool, I knew something was wrong. All the little girls wore darling party dresses and the normally tousled little boys had on neatly tucked-in button down shirts.

Before having children, I imagined “work-life balance” like an old-fashioned scale. When things were out of whack, you just toss in a hot bath for yourself, a movie with your friends, and a date night with your husband. Now, I see it more as a tug-of-war with two giants pulling either of my arms in opposite directions while I try desperately not to get split in half.
Saying a baby product is “a life saver” is a cliche but in the case of Britax car seats, it is the literal truth. I accidentally crash-tested our children’s Britax car seats a couple of years ago and, thankfully, the children emerged without a scratch.

As a preteen, I was never without a book and some embroidery floss for making friendship bracelets. Knotting bracelets was a fun activity I could do alone or while chatting with friends. With a little embroidery floss, I was never bored.
Once you learn basic knots and friendship bracelet patterns, making a bracelet is easy. The hardest part is keeping your strands untangled and in order. Of course, when I was a kid, I didn’t have My Friendship Bracelet Maker, which is way cooler and more effective than the piece of cardboard and scotch tape I used to carry around.
