As if I were not excited enough already about Project Runway Season 10 premiering TODAY (Thursday, July 19 at 9/8c) on Lifetime, I got to meet some of the talented designers from past seasons at the High Line in New York City last night.

My family spent the 4th of July in Atlantic City as guests of the Atlantic City Alliance. Before our trip, I wrote about how Atlantic City is working to transform its image, and I was not disappointed by the spectacular new Duality show at Boardwalk Hall.

Did you know that July is National Park and Recreation Month?
Having clean, well-equipped parks near our house has encouraged us all to be more active and to spend more time outdoors. My boys love visiting the park, and the playground with its twisty slides, bridges and swings is a favorite. I volunteered as a Parks & Recreation board member for a few years while I was serving on our local school board. In fact, my son now attends the soccer program that we discussed opening while I was on the park board.

I don’t particularly enjoy large cleaning projects, but I do enjoy eating outside and playing with my kids in the pool. So I decided that I would use the Arm & Hammer Switch & Save Challenge as an opportunity to clean my outdoor patio furniture and my children’s pool toys.
We love the beautiful eco-friendly toys from Plan Toys. In fact, the sweet Pull-Along Snail inspired one of my son’s babysitters to write the following poem.
