We love the beautiful eco-friendly toys from Plan Toys. In fact, the sweet Pull-Along Snail inspired one of my son’s babysitters to write the following poem.
4th of July Family Fun in Atlantic City
Remember when Times Square in New York was sleazy, crime-ridden and full of prostitutes and porn shops? Times Square is now a model of urban revitalization, and Atlantic City is undergoing a similar transformation with new resorts like Revel and a brand-new Boardwalk light and sound show.
Tea with Marie Grace at the American Girl Place
For Christmas, my amazing sister-in-law gave my daughter an American Girl Doll, Marie Grace. My daughter had been requesting an American Girl Doll for the last year after seeing one at show-and-tell but I held off because of her young age and because, honestly, I was never into dolls as a child!
I recognize, however, all the fun and growth that can come from playing with dolls…
Sun Tea (Tea Collection’s Summer Line)
There is something different about Tea Collection’s clothing for kids. Perhaps it is the quality, or the globally-influenced motifs, or the sweet but still cosmopolitan styles. Whatever it is, I can spot a tea collection outfit anywhere and not just because I have the latest catalog memorized.

Share Our Strength: Summer Meals for Hungry Kids
Did you know that although more than 21 million children in the US get free or reduced-price school lunches, only 3 million get a free summer meal?
Most of us can probably count on our children being fed to their bodies’ content at any moment of any day. But millions of kids and parents face the summer with worry; the breakfasts and lunches being fed to them during school will be missing.
Cleaning Pool Toys and Outdoor Furniture
Summer is my favorite season. My kids love swimming, playing and dining outside. Aside from battling pesky mosquitoes during our evening meals, our biggest outdoor challenge is finding a way to clean patio furniture and grimy pool toys.
Disney’s John Carter 3D Blu-Ray Review
Disney recently sent me a copy of their John Carter Blu-Ray, in 3D. As I hadn’t seen the movie in theatres, I was excited to watch it at home and see what kind of movie magic can happen with a $250 million+ budget!
