Among women, breast cancer is the most prevalent of all cancers.
In 2008, it caused close to 500,000 deaths and negatively affected the lives of millions. Although positive steps are being made every day in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer, the only thing that will continue this progress is increased awareness.
Early detection of the cancer is key to a recovery and few women regularly get mammograms to monitor their health. By increasing awareness around healthy steps such as this or common risk factors, steps can be taken to permanently eliminate breast cancer.
