Educating our youth is one of the most powerful tools we have at hand. Education has been proven to increase longevity, promote healthy lifestyles, bring positive change to career fields and society and have an endless number of further benefits.
Get Healthy, Give Hope
One of the biggest struggles in today’s supermarkets is motivating your young child to make healthy choices and eat their daily amounts of produce and vegetables.
Now through May 31, thanks to the second annual Get Healthy, Give Hope campaign hosted by Stop & Shop Supermarket Company, LLC and Produce for Kids, shoppers like you can help support local children’s cancer research and get healthy at the same time.
Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Challenge: Cleaning Baby Toys
I was challenged to switch to Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and to test new ways of using this versatile product in my home. In a previous post, I discussed how intrigued I was by the possible uses of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in the nursery. I already used the product in my fridge to deodorize, but now I’ve tested it as a diaper pail freshener and stuffed animal cleaner.
Save Babies Through Screening
Having a baby born with a medical condition or a gene that could trigger a condition is scary. Not knowing about your baby’s condition is even scarier. That’s why newborn screening is so important—even lifesaving. We’ve teamed up with Save Babies Through Screening Foundation, a nonprofit organization that advocates for newborn screening, to spread the word.
Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Challenge
I was challenged to use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in a new way in the home. There are hundreds of uses, but I was most interested in testing baking soda in the nursery.

Green Your Nursery
With their love of the outdoors, children are natural environmentalists. My preschooler loved the new Lorax movie. Afterwards, he wanted to plant some trees.
Teaching your kids to be earth friendly is easier than you think. Reading books about nature, recycling, planting trees and gardening are all fun ways to teach your kids.
Living Like the Lorax
Since I’m a busy working mom, I love it when companies offer affordable, practical ways to help the environment. Seventh Generation is one of my favorite companies because they offer greener cleaning products that are priced competitively.
Will You Help End the Cycle of Violence?
Are you a Brave Woman?
One in four women experience domestic violence (intimate partner violence) at some point in their lives. These women need all their courage to find a way out.
People often wonder why victims of domestic violence don’t just leave. They do not realize that it takes a special brand of courage to believe in yourself after the person you think you love has told you that you are worthless. Someone has made you feel isolated and invisible…
Filling Their Stockings with Christmas Joy
I hope your holidays were filled with joy!
Imagine, for a minute, a child waking up on Christmas day and wondering if there will be any breakfast… already knowing there are no toys to unwrap.
That is a reality for too many in our communities this season.
Here’s a way that we were able to share joy with some other children this Christmas.
