Disney’s Tangled Movie Review

On Saturday, I was invited to an advanced screening of Disney’s Tangled, which opens everywhere on November 24th.

I’m probably not the most objective critic since I’ve been a Disney fan since the age of three when I first fell in love with their animated movies at a special screening of Snow White. Since I’m a sucker for Disney films, I took two very sophisticated critics with me to the screening: my 11 and 12 year old goddaughters. They loved the movie and want to go again with their friends when it opens.

In Praise of Stay-At-Home Moms Book Review

Since I work outside the home, my decision to read Dr. Laura’s new book In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms was a bit masochistic. If you are a working mother and you pick up this book, prepare yourself for a massive guilt trip.

As I read, I tried to remind myself that this book wasn’t written for me. In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms was written for SAHMs who feel under-appreciated and who may face criticism from family and peers for their decision. And Dr. Laura provides validation, praise and talking points to use when dealing with naysayers.
