Make family game night even more exciting with Trivial Pursuit for the Nintendo Wii. Play a video version of the classic game or try a new twist by playing in “Facts and Friends” mode.
Tiny Treasures from Bella Sara
We reviewed Bella Sara trading cards and online gaming community before. Each card includes a unique code that activates a virtual version of the horse pictured on the card at the Bella Sara website. Girls can feed, groom and play games with their virtual horses as well as read stories.
Bella Sara has just released two new products that would be perfect for your little girl’s Easter Basket. The first is the Bella Sara Miniatures Collection ($1.99). Each pack contains a small velvety horse and a bonus code that can be redeemed online to play special games. I wouldn’t recommend the miniatures collection if you have babies or young toddlers in your house since the little pieces could be a choking hazard. But the older girls (7 & 8) who tested this product loved being able to hold and play with the horses they adore from the online games…
It’s a Wii-underful World: Mom-Approved Wii Games.
Video Games aren’t for everyone. Candace makes a big effort to engage in only “unplugged” play. Her little girl watches almost no tv, and I highly doubt she’ll be playing video games anytime soon. While I embrace the unplugged play philosophy in theory, I see a lot of value in video games as well. I have many happy […]
I SPY….A Game The Whole Family Can Enjoy!
Until second grade, I lived in a historic house with horrible TV reception. The only channel that was fuzz-free was PBS. But we were never bored. Instead of watching TV after dinner, we would spend time together as a family playing games. I loved those family game nights, and I think they are one of the reasons why my memories of those years […]

Life Is Not a Zero Sum Game
Although I wouldn’t go so far as to call myself a Luddite (obviously blogging is using technology), I tend to error on the side of unplugged entertainment for tots. But there comes a day when the kiddos grow up and discover the joys of the electronic world. When that day comes, it is reassuring to […]

Grow Young Minds with Cranium Bloom Games for Pre-Schoolers
It is cold and raining outside and your three year old is bouncing off the wall. You’ve done crafts, you’ve built couch forts, and right now you just want your kid to sit quietly for a few minutes, without the television on. Cranium has launched a new line of games (or, as like to call […]
